We have worked with several schools around the Berkshire region; Arbour Vale, Addington, Castle School, Mary Hare Grammar School, and Kennel Lane delivering workshops with autistic pupils. Workshops were focused on the forthcoming Olympics 2012, and for pupils to develop their own creative outlook and perspectives on the Games to enable positive national recognition and an attempt for inclusiveness.
Short musical pieces using the Soundbeam, drums and other musical equipment were created to enable both a visual and auditory concept of their perspective of the Games.
At last we have given the opportunity for autistic children to have a voice in the Olympics buildup and celebrations.
Thanks to Awards for All for funding this project.
Unfortunately there are no more free workshops, but we are still in a position to deliver similar workshops to your school at a reasonable cost, if you are interested, get in touch with us.
